Subscription contents

 

1. Summary

- Host Organization : Cheongsong Culture and Tourism Foundation

-Address of Host Organization : 494, Juwangsan-ro, Budong-myeon, Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea

- Provided Space : Private residential space and private studio for each artists

- Common Space : Meeting room and other common areas

Residencial Space : Second floor of Jangnankki Republic-Dalbit Art School located in Cheongsong-gun

- Media : Porcelain (Crafts)

- Selected Artists : 3 artists

- Application Period : Mar 12, 2018 (Mon) ~ Mar 31, 2018(Sat) for 19 days

 

2. Eligibility

- An artist who makes works based on living pottery, and experiments with various pottery arts

- If you cannot travel internationally, you cannot apply for this program

- Residence Period : 6 months (May 17, 2018 ~ Nov 16, 2018 )

 

 

3. Rule

- You can work freely based on the submitted proposal, but consultation with the program coordinator is required.

You can live in the studio and interact with Cheongsong White Porcelain master and local artists. You should make either traditional porcelains or experimental and contemporary porcelains by using pottery stone.

- You must participate in 'art exchange programs' as a member of the local community.

- The exhibition will be held and some piece of works will be donated to the organization before the end of the program. Details will be decided after meetings with the program coordinator.

 

4. Residents will receive

- Travel expenses (Round-trip ticket and domestic transportation fee)

- Living and production cost. Approximately 1,200,000 KRW per month * 7,200,000 KRW for 6 months

- A private bedroom and a private studio

- You can use common areas of residency building

- The organization will for work activity by organizer if you comply with the mutually agreed work activity regulations

- Equipments : Gas kiln, De-Airing Pugmill, Electric Spinning Wheel, Work shelf, etc.

 

5. Required Documents (All documents must be written in English.)

- Resume or CV : 1 copy

- Portfolio : 1 copy (work images and exhibition installation shots must be included. Please submit 5 to 15 images or Video highlights within 3 minutes)

- Proposal : 1 copy

- Application form (including a cover letter or a letter of interest) 1 copy

- Confirmation 1 copy

- The Organizations committee will make a decision

- Decision will be made on : Apr 2, 2018 (Mon)

- Notification of Acceptance : Apr 4, 2018 (Wed) (Individual notification)

3. Further Information

- The submitted documents will not be returned and if the contents of the submitted documents are different from the facts, the selection may be invalid.

- Participants involved in any lawsuit including plagiarism or writing false personal history, will be deselected if the violation is discovered after.
